side note: maybe its because of how he was in real life? I haven’t read The Prince yet, but his ideas, though  somewhat truthful, especially for his time, are considered to be immoral and cruel (anyone feel free to correct me, I haven’t studied a lot about Machiavellian ideas and theories). Some have argued in his favor however, stating that he basically just ‘wrote down what everyone else was thinking’. I believe, and again, please correct me if I’m wrong, but he really did like Cesare in real life and found him to be both powerful and manipulative, which was what allowed Cesare to have the power he had during his life.
Also, I’m sure a lot of people will have something to say to this, and a lot of it may be information you didn’t know before, so please check the notes out! C: And also, this is probably not the only reason the people who don’t like, well, don’t like him. But it could be one!
